The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced today a significant seizure of over 4 kg of suspected cocaine at the Toronto Pearson International Airport (TPIA).
On April 23, 2015, CBSA officers discovered an unclaimed bag at Terminal 1 of the TPIA. The bag was referred to secondary inspection for further processing, Once the bag was opened, it was found to contain a black knapsack with four vacuum packed bricks within. A probe of one of the bricks produced a positive result for suspected cocaine.
The packages of suspected cocaine were turned over to Peel Regional Police and the investigation is ongoing.
