On May 20 and 21, 2015 the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) held Change of Command ceremonies at Kent Institution, Mountain Institution, Matsqui Institution, Pacific Institution and Fraser Valley Institution. These occasions marked the changes in command from the outgoing Wardens to the incoming Wardens. The incoming Wardens are:
- Ms. Bobbi Sandhu, Warden, Kent Institution
- Mr. Shawn Huish, Warden, Mountain Institution
- Ms. Carol-Ann Reynen, Warden, Matsqui Institution
- Mr. Terry Hackett, Warden, Pacific Institution
- Ms. Leanne Doyle, Warden, Fraser Valley Institution
The ceremonies reinforce the responsibility of leadership in the role of Warden. It represents the symbolic passing of responsibility, authority, and accountability from one correctional leader to another.
These ceremonies are an important tradition for CSC. They reaffirm the incoming leader’s pledge to support CSC’s mission and contribute to the safety and security of the public, employees and offenders.
