On May 9, 2015 Claude Bourguignon, an inmate at Joyceville Institution – Minimum security unit, died at a local hospital in Napanee, Ontario.
At the time of his death, Mr. Bourguignon, 52 years old, had been serving an indeterminate sentence for First Degree Murder since March 1, 1991.
The inmate’s next of kin have been notified of his death.
As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, the police and the coroner have been notified, and the Correctional Service of Canada will review the circumstances of the incident.
