OTTAWA — The Department of National Defence and the Canadian Armed Forces will honour 23 employers and educators from across Canada, representing business, government and academic institutions, for their outstanding support to members of Canada’s Reserve Force during a gala awards dinner to be held at the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa on Thursday, May 28, 2015.
Defence Minister Jason Kenney, Lieutenant-General Guy Thibault, Vice Chief of the Defence Staff, various other Canadian Armed Forces senior officers and members of the Canadian Forces Liaison Council will be in attendance at the event. Mr. Rex Murphy, renowned journalist, commentator and author, will be special guest speaker for the evening.
Members of the media are invited to cover the event.
Media are asked to arrive by 6:15 p.m., and confirm their attendance with Captain Kimberley Caron no later than 4 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2015.
