May 7, 2015 – Montréal, Quebec - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)
The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, today announced that the Canadian Olympic Committee has been awarded funding to undergo a major project that will help build Canada’s reputation and Montréal’s influence in the Olympic universe.
This maximum funding of $3 million from the Government of Canada, contingent on the signing of a contribution agreement between Canada Economic Development and the Canadian Olympic Committee, has been granted in the form of a non-repayable financial contribution through CED’s Quebec Economic Development Program.
