Member of Parliament Jay Aspin (Nipissing—Timiskaming), on behalf of the Honourable Greg Rickford, Canada's Minister of Natural Resources and Minister for the Federal Economic Development Initiative for Northern Ontario (FedNor), announced today an investment to support three strategic initiatives in support of jobs, growth and long-term prosperity in the North Bay region and throughout Northern Ontario.
An investment of $2,427,783 will be used by the NECO Community Futures Development Corporation (NECO) to create economic development opportunities and enhance business development and growth for small and medium-sized enterprises in the North Bay region, and to support equine, agricultural and food producers throughout Northern Ontario (see attached information sheet).
