Dominic Desjardins, Executive Producer of the Canadian Francophonie Studio at the National Film Board of Canada (NFB), announces the appointment of Jac Gautreau as Producer at the studio in Acadia. Born in Moncton, this multidisciplinary creator is one of the most prolific producers and artistic directors in Atlantic Canada. Motivated by the artistic challenge and the creative adventure, Jac posesses a diversity of knowledge that is unique: he’s not only an award-winning television producer, but also a composer and arranger, as well as a producer and artistic director of events.
He will start on May 11, taking over from Maryse Chapdelaine, who retired last March.

o Among Jac Gautreau’s most recent creations: 12 annual East Coast Music Awards Galas (Gemini Award for best variety show, 2001 and 2003), multimedia shows Le violon fantastique, Tracady Story 1, 2 and 3D and Page d’Amérique (over 70,000 spectators), and interactive installations for the Shearwater Aviation Museum in Nova Scotia and the Ka’nata Foundation.
o He was also artistic director of the 5th World Acadian Congress in 2014.
o In 2007, he directed Franco-identité remixée, a documentary exploring the challenges faced by artists living in minority communities.
