Garrison Petawawa receives funding through new federal infrastructure investments

PETAWAWA, ONTARIO — The Honourable Julian Fantino, Associate Minister of National Defence, joined by Cheryl Gallant, Member of Parliament for Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke, today announced a significant $20 million dollar investment for Garrison Petawawa, to improve and expand critical infrastructure for the Canadian Armed Forces, and helping to create local jobs in the Petawawa area.
Garrison Petawawa is a large military base with close to 600 buildings, including 1600 family housing units. Through this $20 million dollars investment, Garrison Petawawa will see the modernization and renovation of housing units, repairs to the roadways, as well as improvements to Military Quarters in support members of the Canadian Armed Forces and their families.
