May 15, 2015 – Montreal, Quebec - Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)
A budget of $150 million will be available to support the renovation and improvement, including the expansion, of community infrastructure across Canada. The 150CIP is delivered through Canada’s regional development agencies (RDAs). In Quebec, Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED) is responsible for delivering the program.
In Quebec, the 150CIP seeks to support non-profit organizations in every region that make infrastructure available to citizens that contributes to the vitality and dynamism of their communities. Thus, the following two themes have been chosen for the call for proposals that will be open from May 19 to June 26, 2015: Proud of our parks, trails and watercourses and Strong, active, united communities.
The Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program builds on the New Building Canada Plan (NBCP), which focuses on economic growth and productivity. The NBCP is the largest and longest federal infrastructure plan in Canadian history and one that will generate major benefits for Quebec and its citizens for years to come.
