May 28, 2015 - The Honourable Bal Gosal, Minister of State (Sport) and Mike Wallace, Member of Parliament for Burlington, will launch UNICEF’s #HighFiveIt campaign during half time at the Canada vs. England international exhibition soccer match in Hamilton, Ontario, on behalf of the Honourable Christian Paradis, Minister of International Development and La Francophonie. The game is a warm-up for the FIFA 2015 Women’s World Cup.
Minister of State Gosal and Mr. Wallace will high-five soccer stars and lead the crowd in breaking the world record for the most people giving high-fives at one time. This will launch UNICEF’s #HighFiveIt campaign, which aims to use the popularity of the FIFA Women’s World Cup to raise funds online for maternal, newborn and child health in Haiti.
