KINGSTON — Over a period of two days, media are invited to three ceremonial events celebrating the 2015 Royal Military College of Canada (RMCC) graduation activities.
Convocation at the RMCC – May 14
The Honourable Jason Kenney, Minister of National Defence and Chancellor of the RMCC, will present more than 300 graduating students with their Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate’s degrees. Governor General David Johnston will also be presented with an honorary Doctorate during the ceremony.

Annual Sunset Ceremony – May 14
The RMCC also invites members of the media and surrounding community to the traditional Sunset Ceremony. The ceremony will feature ceremonial drill and colour party demonstrations, and a demonstration by the Aboriginal Leadership Opportunity Year drummers. Performances by highland dancers and RMCC’s prestigious bands will lead spectators to the finale of the ceremony, concluding with fireworks at sunset.

2015 Graduation and Commissioning Parade at the RMCC – May 15
The Chief of the Defence Staff, General Tom Lawson, and other senior Canadian Armed Forces commanders will be present for the commissioning of Officer and Naval Cadets. The commissioning parade and ceremony is the formal presentation of an Officer’s commission in the Canadian Armed Forces in the name of Her Royal Majesty, the Queen.
