Minister Leitch congratulates all parties

Today, the Honourable Dr. K. Kellie Leitch, Minister of Labour and Minister of Status of Women, congratulated Air Canada and Unifor Local 2002 on the renewal of their collective agreement for a five-year period.
The agreement was reached with assistance from the Labour Program’s Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS). The FMCS provides dispute resolution and dispute prevention assistance to trade unions and employers under the jurisdiction of the Canada Labour Code.
Air Canada operates over 1,400 flights on a daily basis and, with its regional carriers, served more than 38 million passengers last year. It provides direct passenger service to more than 175 destinations on five continents. It is among the 20 largest airlines in the world and employs 27,000 people.
