The Honourable Lisa Raitt, Minister of Transport, today announced the appointment of Ms. Gillian Gail Kirk of Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, to the board of directors of Ridley Terminals Inc. for a term of four years.
Ms. Kirk has been the Industry and Community Relationship Liaison for Avia Employment Services, a division of Back in Motion Rehab Inc. since 2012. Prior to that, she was the Membership Services Manager of the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce from 2011 to 2012, Area Manager for Match Marketing from 2009 to 2010 and National Account Coordinator for Inventa Sales and Promotions from 2008 to 2009. She also worked in marketing/communications and taught English in Taiwan from 2004 to 2006.
She is currently Vice-Chair of the Tri-Cities Chamber of Commerce, she participates on the FortisBC Energy Efficiency and Conservation Group, and she is a member of the Tri-Cities Homelessness and Housing Task Group. She is also an active community volunteer.
Ms. Kirk holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and a Minor in Kinesiology, as well as a Liberal Arts Certificate from Simon Fraser University, and has attended the UBC Sauder School of Business Executive Education program for Strategic Marketing Management.
