OTTAWA - “Every year on the first Sunday of June, Canadians everywhere are encouraged to celebrate Canadian Armed Forces Day. Today, I wish to extend my most sincere gratitude to all Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members and their families for their ever-present dedication and sacrifice to our country.
“As Canadians, we are fortunate to be able to count on our great men and women in uniform every single day of the year. Whether we ask them to support and protect us at home or to defend our freedom, provide relief or maintain peace during missions abroad, we know that they are ready to answer the call and serve at a moment’s notice.
“I invite all Canadians to join me in expressing their gratitude and show support to Canadian Armed Forces members and their families.”
