OTTAWA – The Chief of the Defence Staff, General Tom Lawson, completed bilateral meetings with his United States counterpart, General Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in Washington D.C. on Thursday, June 4.
General Lawson, accompanied by Lieutenant-General Marquis Hainse, Commander of the Canadian Army, Major-General Michael Hood, Director of Staff, Strategic Joint Staff, and Brigadier-General David Anderson, CDS Liaison Officer to the US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, discussed a range of matters with General Dempsey and other senior U.S. military leaders.
