OTTAWA – Approximately 35 Canadian Army soldiers are training with members of the Polish Army on Exercise LANCER STRIKE in Tomaszow Maz, Poland. The exercise is part of Operation REASSURANCE, Canada’s contribution to NATO’s assurance measures which were established as a confidence-building response in the wake of the Putin regime’s continued aggression toward Ukraine.
The soldiers from 3rd Battalion, The Royal Canadian Regiment, are training with the Polish 25th Air Cavalry Brigade from June 15-29. Exercise LANCER STRIKE will enhance the interoperability of Canadian and Polish Forces. It will also assist in developing skills in operating in mountainous terrain for the Canadian Army and air mobility skills for the Polish Army.
