On June 24, 2015, Melvin Robinson, an inmate at William Head died at a local hospital in Victoria.
At the time of his death, Mr. Robinson, 56 years old, had been serving a sentence of 3 years for Possession of Schedule I/II Substances for the Purpose of Trafficking since February 7, 2014.
The inmate’s next of kin have been notified of his death.
As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, the police and the coroner have been notified, and the Correctional Service of Canada will review the circumstances of the incident.
