The Honourable Rob Nicholson, P.C., Q.C., M.P. for Niagara Falls, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today announced the following diplomatic appointments:
Anna-Karine Asselin becomes Ambassador to the Republic of Panama.
Philip Baker becomes Ambassador to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and Permanent Observer to the African Union, with concurrent accreditation to the Republic of Djibouti.
Richard Bale becomes Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City (Socialist Republic of Vietnam).
Sylvain Fabi becomes High Commissioner in Jamaica.
Maryse Guilbeault becomes Ambassador to the Republic of El Salvador.
Paul Maddison becomes High Commissioner in Australia, with concurrent accreditation as Ambassador to the Republic of the Marshall Islands and the Federated States of Micronesia.
Keith Morrill becomes Ambassador to the Hellenic Republic, with concurrent accreditation as High Commissioner in the Republic of Cyprus.
