Grand-Pré NHS - Church Roofing	$85 K
The Memorial Church is an integral part of this National Historic Site and an important symbol for the Acadian community. Lifespan of the roof has come to its end. To ensure the commemorative integrity of this important designated building, roof replacement is required. Complete rehabilitation of the roofing materials will extend the life of the structure.

Grand-Pré NHS - Compound	$473 K
The current facilities date to the 1950s. Last June, Hurricane Arthur destroyed the storage facility at the site. The existing building does not provide adequate working space and is a hindrance to the visitor experience and the commemorative integrity of the site. The management plan calls for the relocation of the compound to the former parking area of the site. The new compound facility would allow adequate working spaces and facilities.

Risk management assessment	$14 K
This investment from Parks Canada Agency will go toward performing risk management analysis at a former underground fuel storage tank location.

Site Description:
Grand-Pré National Historic Site of Canada commemorates the Grand Pre area as a centre of Acadian settlement from 1682 to 1755 and the Deportation of the Acadians, which began in 1755 and continued until 1762, and the strong attachment that remains to this day among Acadians to this area. Grand Pré National Historic Site welcomes more than 25,000 visitors every year.
