June 9, 2015 – Charlottetown, PEI – Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency
The Guild has been an important member of the Prince Edward Island arts and culture community since 2004, welcoming visitors and Islanders alike to its stage performances and art gallery. Now the space is set to become even more efficient and modern thanks in part to a contribution from Government of Canada.
The Honourable Gail Shea, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, on behalf of the Honourable Rob Moore, Minister of State (Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency), today announced federal funding to support The Guild in undertaking facility improvements.
This funding will assist The Guild in undertaking facility improvements, including heating and cooling upgrades, increased seating, sound system upgrades, and upgrades to accommodate modern IT equipment and flexible staffing requirements. These upgrades will allow The Guild to become more efficient, decrease operating costs, increase bookings and meet current performance standards.
