Revitalized defence infrastructure across Canada will provide the Canadian Armed Forces with the facilities they need to provide support to troops and military families, to support the Reserve forces, to support operations at home and abroad, and to ensure the health and safety of our men and women in uniform.
Base Valcartier will soon see a project to upgrade its military quarters. This project will involve improvements to the entrance, grounds, bedrooms and loading docks, as well as repairs to roofing and building envelope. These buildings were constructed between 1960 and 1970 and require renovations to reduce maintenance costs and to increase their life span. The repairs and renovations required at Base Valcartier’s military quarters will also ensure that the facilities meet today’s standards.
