Ottawa - Media are invited to attend the Military Personnel Command Change of Command Ceremony. Lieutenant-General Christine Whitecross will assume the role of Commander of Military Personnel Command from Lieutenant-General David Millar. General Tom Lawson, Chief of the Defence Staff, will preside.
When: Friday, June 26, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. (ending at 3:20 p.m.)
Where: Cartier Square Drill Hall, 2 Queen Elizabeth Drive, Ottawa
What: General Tom Lawson, the Chief of the Defence Staff, will appoint the new Commander of Military Personnel Command.
Media are required to arrive no later than 1:15 p.m. and must present identification.
No general parking will be available, however, there will be a few spaces for satellite trucks on interlock pad located opposite the northwest corner of the drill hall.
Lieutenant-General Whitecross will have a ten-minute media availability immediately following the ceremony.
