VALCARTIER – The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, on behalf of the Honourable Julian Fantino, Associate Minister of National Defence, today announced a significant investment of $2 million in funding to improve important infrastructure at Base Valcartier, in support of the Canadian Armed Forces and to help create local jobs in the Quebec City area.
Base Valcartier, home to approximately 2,500 Canadian Armed Forces personnel, will see significant renovations to military quarters, including improvements to entrances, grounds, bedrooms, loading docks and roofing. These upgrades will also generate jobs and growth to the local economy.
