Finance Minister Joe Oliver today announced the appointment of Jennifer Reynolds and Sandra Rosch to the Board of Directors of the Canada Development Investment Corporation (CDEV) for four-year terms.

Ms. Reynolds will join CDEV after having served for the past two years as the President and CEO of Women in Capital Markets, the largest network of professional women in the Canadian financial sector. Ms. Rosch has 17 years of experience in investment, and is the President of the restructuring firm Stonecrest Capital Inc.

Jennifer Reynolds, MBA

Jennifer Reynolds has served as the President and CEO of Women in Capital Markets (WCM), the largest network of professional women in the Canadian financial sector, for the past two years and has been an active advocate and supporter of the advancement of women in the industry over her career.

Prior to joining WCM, Ms. Reynolds spent 15 years working in the capital markets industry, most recently as a Managing Director, Head of Diversified Industries Investment Banking with Stonecap Securities. She has also held senior roles with BMO Capital Markets’ Investment Banking group and in the venture capital industry with OMERS Ventures.

Ms. Reynolds is an Honorary Chair of the Princess Margaret Weekend to End Women’s Cancers and serves as a member of the YWCA Women of Distinction Committee. She is also a former member of the Ontario Venture Capital Fund Advisory Committee and former Chair of the Board of Advisors of the MicroSkills Business Incubator. She is a graduate from Harvard Business School’s Women’s Executive Leadership Program, and received her MBA from McGill University and a BA with a double major in Economics and Political Science from McGill University.

Sandra Rosch, MBA

Sandra Rosch is President of Stonecrest Capital Inc., a Canadian restructuring advisory firm which has acted as Chief Restructuring Officer for the court supervised restructuring of Grant Forest Products Inc., Stelco Inc., Algoma Steel Inc. and Athletes World Inc. She has also advised the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions on the pension plan issues related to the Air Canada restructuring. In addition to over 14 years of restructuring experience, Ms. Rosch has 17 years of experience in investment banking at two fully integrated Canadian investment banks, Scotia Capital Inc. and Nesbitt Thomson Inc.

Ms. Rosch currently serves as Chair of Cline Mining Corporation, Director of Labrador Iron Ore Royalty Corporation, and Director of the Turnaround Management Association, Toronto Chapter. She has a Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario.
