Industry Minister James Moore, along with Minister of State for Small Business and Tourism Maxime Bernier, today announced the appointment of Olga Ilich as Chair of the Board of Directors of Destination Canada, effective immediately.
Olga llich has been a member of the Board of Directors of Destination Canada since 2014 and was the British Columbia Minister of Tourism, Sport and the Arts.
Destination Canada, formerly known as the Canadian Tourism Commission, is Canada's national tourism marketing organization. A federal Crown corporation of the Government of Canada, it leads the Canadian tourism industry in marketing Canada as a premier four-season tourism destination where travellers can enjoy extraordinary experiences. It provides a consistent voice for Canada in the international tourism marketplace.
