Prime Minister Stephen Harper met today with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and European Council President Donald Tusk.
The leaders met at the G-7 in Germany, where they reaffirmed shared values and interests.
The leaders discussed the timely ratification of the Canada-European Union Trade Agreement so that businesses on both sides of the Atlantic would benefit from deeper economic ties. Prime Minister Harper also made clear the need to resolve the Greek debt crisis.
They also reiterated the importance of maintaining a firm and united stance on Russia’s aggression in Ukraine, and their enduring commitment to the people of Ukraine.
