The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) would like to remind all travellers, including those entering on foot and on a bicycle, of the need to report directly to the Cornwall port of entry after crossing the North Span Bridge.
All persons, including domestic travellers, transiting the port of entry as they travel from Cornwall Island into the City of Cornwall via the North Span Bridge are required to report to the CBSA.
All persons entering Canada from the United States must report to the CBSA immediately upon entry. Residents of Cornwall Island returning from the United States must proceed to the CBSA port of entry on the Canal Lands before proceeding to any other destination.
Quick Facts
- Failure to report to a designated port of entry may lead to fines and/or charges under the Customs Act or Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
- Anyone with information about suspicious cross-border activity is encouraged to call the CBSA Border Watch toll-free line at 1-888-502-9060.
