The Afterglow Art Festival will feature performances and art by local musicians and artists, demonstrations by local artisans, and other activities such as storytelling and poetry.
“Our Government recognizes the importance of supporting community-based events like the Afterglow Art Festival. We know that such festivals contribute to the economic and cultural life of the community and region.”
—The Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages
“The Afterglow Art Festival is a wonderful way to highlight our local artists, artisans and heritage performers. Bridgewater’s residents and visitors will have an opportunity to enjoy an array of arts and heritage activities.”
—Gerald Keddy, Member of Parliament (South Shore–St. Margaret’s)
“It is difficult to celebrate and support local arts and culture if they are not seen and experienced. The support from Canadian Heritage for our 2015 event will allow us to enhance the festival, which in turn will benefit local artists and the economy.”
