July 27, 2015 – Moncton, New Brunswick – Correctional Service Canada
On July 27, 2015, Correctional Service Canada (CSC) held a Change of Command Ceremony at its Regional Headquarters (RHQ) for the Atlantic, in Moncton, New Brunswick. This occasion marked the change in command from the outgoing Regional Deputy Commissioner (RDC) Thérèse LeBlanc, to the incoming RDC Anuradha Marisetti.
The ceremony reinforces the responsibility of leadership in the role of Regional Deputy Commissioner. It represents the symbolic passing of responsibility, authority, and accountability from one correctional leader to another.
“This ceremony is a tradition for CSC. It connects the present with the past,” said RDC Marisetti. “It is very important that tradition be respected in order to honour those who have passed before us and made our organization what it is today. I am very proud and happy to honour this tradition with you.”
The Change of Command Ceremony is an important tradition for CSC. It reaffirms the incoming leader’s pledge to support CSC’s mission and contribute to the safety and security of the public, employees and offenders.
