On July 10, 2015, Raymond Joseph Russell, an inmate at Pacific Institution, died at the institutional hospital in Abbotsford.
At the time of his death, Mr. Russell, 59 years old, had been serving a life sentence for two counts of Second Degree Murder since April 14, 1983.
The inmate’s next of kin have been notified of his death.
As in all cases involving the death of an inmate, the police and the coroner have been notified, and the Correctional Service of Canada will review the circumstances of the incident.
