Member of Parliament Jay Aspin (Nipissing—Timiskaming), on behalf of the Honourable Greg Rickford, Canada's Minister of Natural Resources and Minister for the Federal Economic Development Initiative for Northern Ontario (FedNor), announced today an investment to help Northern Ontario small and medium-sized enterprises and communities take advantage of business and economic development opportunities offered by the mining sector.
A FedNor investment of $380,000 will enable the City of Temiskaming Shores to help showcase Northern Ontario businesses and communities during the 2016 Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) International Convention, Trade Show and Investors Exchange. This strategic initiative will provide Northern Ontario mining supply and service companies a unique opportunity to promote their products, services and skills as well as explore new markets and establish key contacts during PDAC's annual convention to be held in Toronto from March 6–9, 2016.
