The Honourable Greg Rickford, Canada’s Minister of Natural Resources and Minister for the Federal Economic Development Initiative for Northern Ontario (FedNor), announced today an investment to help Kapuskasing Economic Development Corporation (KEDC) build business capacity and attract investment to the region.
KEDC will use a FedNor investment of $63,000 to hire a youth intern for a two-year period to work with the corporation, the Kapuskasing Chamber of Commerce and Energie Kap Energy. Some of the intern’s responsibilities include updating KEDC’s resource development business guide, assisting with the development of a web presence, integrating social media in its online activities and facilitating several key community events.
