ICO Technologies Inc. growing its markets with support from the Government of Canada

Mauricie enterprise launches strategy to commercialize its innovative solutions, notably for emergency services, on markets outside Quebec and in the United States

July 29, 2015 – Shawinigan, Quebec – Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that ICO Technologies Inc. has been granted financial assistance for a commercialization strategy that will allow the firm to diversify its markets, increase sales and create jobs.

This support is being awarded in the form of a $220,552 repayable contribution through CED’s Quebec Economic Development Program.

Quick facts

Founded in 2001, ICO Technologies designs and develops specialty software packages for the emergency services, security and management industries.
The company has been experiencing solid success, particularly with its Target 9-1-1 software solutions designed for the management of public safety operations such as 911 call centres, police and fire departments and emergency preparedness measures.
The contribution from CED will serve for, among other things, the hiring of marketing and market development specialists, the adjustment of products to target markets and the production of promotional materials.
