The Honourable Lisa Raitt, Minister of Transport, today announced that the Government of Canada is investing $1,846,152 for the purchase of two aircraft rescue and fire fighting vehicles and associated equipment at the J. A. Douglas McCurdy Sydney Airport.
These state-of-the-art rescue and firefighting vehicles will greatly enhance emergency response capability, ensuring continued safe airport operations for flight crews, passengers, and employees.
Funding is provided through Transport Canada’s Airports Capital Assistance Program (ACAP).
