Repayable contribution of $244,922 / total investment of $602,720 Polyplast has been operating in the region for 15 years, and delivers resin solutions for covering or replacing a plethora of parts whose durability is jeopardized by friction, impacts or abrasion. Offering customized service, it manufactures polymer parts for prime contractors in the mining, forestry and government sectors. Its market covers both Abitibi-Témiscamingue, and the Outaouais, Montreal and Laurentides regions and Ontario.
To continue meeting industry demand, its relocation, facilitating the firm’s expansion and improved productivity, had become necessary. Its significantly larger new facility, located in Amos’s industrial park, will also enable it to enhance the quality and diversity of its products.
Through this project, the acquisition of several pieces of sophisticated equipment will enhance the service offering so as to cater more closely to several prime contractors’ order requirements. The project will have positive spinoffs, as it will help diversify the region’s entrepreneurial fabric. This SME, which already has six employees, plans to create two other full-time jobs through this project.
