| Road repair is required to ensure safe, continued use by those using the warf, including the commercial fishing industry; hydro clearing is required to ensure safe, continuous supply of electricity. This road is significantly eroded and narrow. The objective is to repair the road to meet current standards. Guiderails will be installed at appropriate locations and brush cutting will be undertaken under the power lines to permit access. |

| The objective of this project is to rehabilitate the Kouchibouguac River Bridge and Rankin Brook Bridge, which will include the replacement of bridge barriers and expansion joints, the repair of deck drains, membrane drains, concrete girders, sidewalks, curbs, end block and substructure. The project also includes the repair of some bridge slopes, including grading and the supply of riprap. |

| Kouchibouguac NP - South Kouchibouguac Service Buildings Rehabilitation |

| This project will rehabilitate the interior and exterior of the 6 service buildings (washrooms/showers) and 2 picnic shelters in the South Kouchibouguac campground. Four of these service buildings were built in the mid-1970s and the two others were built in the mid-1980s. Although the buildings have received regular maintenance and some rehabilitation, all of these buildings require some exterior work (wooden siding and/or roofing), a complete rehabilitation of the interiors and some of the mechanical equipment needs to be replaced. |

| Site Description: |
| Established in 1969, Kouchibouguac National Park includes a rich diversity of bogs, salt marshes, tidal rivers, sparkling freshwater systems, sheltered lagoons, abandoned fields and tall forests characterizing the Maritime Plain Natural Region. The name Kouchibouguac (pronounced "Kou-she-boo-gwack") is of Mi'kmaq origin and means "river of the long tides". In 2009, Kouchibouguac was declared a Dark Sky Preserve by the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. |
