Government of Canada supports growth of Victoriaville enterprise in Centre-du-Québec

July 29, 2015 – Drummondville, Quebec – Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that the firm Lignum Veneer Inc. has been granted financial assistance for its expansion.

This support has been awarded in the form of a $204,761 repayable contribution through CED’s Quebec Economic Development Program.

Quick facts

The project involved the construction of a new building and relocation of Lignum Veneer Inc. to this new facility as well as the acquisition of a new production line, including modern technological equipment.
The contribution from CED went toward the acquisition, installation and programming costs of the new manufacturing equipment.
This project has already enabled the company to raise its productivity and production capacity, which is expected to result in higher sales and increased efficiency.
