July 13, 2015 - CHATHAM, ONTARIO — Dave Van Kesteren, Member of Parliament for Chatham-Kent-Essex, on behalf of the Honourable Julian Fantino, Associate Minister of National Defence, today announced a $540,000 investment for numerous improvements to the Chatham Armoury in support of the Canadian Armed Forces.
Investments at the Chatham Armoury will fund repairs and upgrades over the next two years to the emergency lighting, heating and ventilation systems and the roof of the building. These investments will ensure that the building remains in the best condition possible for the men and women of the Canadian Armed Forces. In addition, at the Cedar Springs Range and Training Area, additional work will be done to repair target areas and the obstacle course, and to upgrade electrical, heating and ventilation systems as well as the fire safety systems. This investment will also help support the local economy and job creation in the Chatham area.
