WAINWRIGHT, ALBERTA – Leon Benoit, Member of Parliament for Vegreville-Wainwright, on behalf of the Honourable Julian Fantino, Associate Minister of National Defence, today announced an investment of $9 million for new construction and expansion of an existing facility at the Wainwright Garrison.
The infrastructure project has two components: the construction of a new facility to accommodate the Integrated Personnel Support Centre, and construction of an extension to the Wainwright Garrison Health Services Centre that will accommodate dental services for military personnel.
“This $9 million investment in Wainwright Garrison will help improve the lives of our men and women in uniform, along with their families, who live at the Garrison with improved services.
As we continue to upgrade Canadian Armed Forces facilities across Canada, such investments are also promoting economic growth and job creation in communities like Wainwright.”
