July 16, 2015 - OTTAWA – The Honourable Jason Kenney, Minister of National Defence, has issued this statement following the death of four U.S. Marines in Chattanooga, Tennessee in an act of possible domestic terrorism:
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the United States Navy and Marine Corps, and all those who are affected by today’s shooting at the Navy Operational Support Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This attack calls to mind the murders of two Canadian soldiers on our soil last October, following which our American friends expressed profound solidarity with Canada.
“We condemn today’s despicable attack and mourn the loss of four U.S. marines who served their country with pride and honour.”
