Project made possible thanks to federal Gas Tax Fund
July 1, 2015 – Creston, British Columbia – Infrastructure Canada
Canyon Park, a beautiful and rustic natural Park used by backpackers, cyclists, kayak and canoe enthusiasts, as well as equine enthusiasts, now has a new bathroom and shower facility thanks to the federal Gas Tax Fund.
The $98,700 facility was made possible thanks to $56,000 from the federal Gas Tax Fund and $42,700 from the Canyon Community Association.
Canyon Park offers camping, a playground, a pavilion, a baseball diamond, an equestrian arena and hiking trails. The bathroom and shower facility marks the first phase of a broader project that will also include the construction of a new catering-style kitchen, which is scheduled to open in the spring of 2016.
