On July 25th, a Parks Canada emergency response exercise took place on the waters of the Richelieu River near the Saint-Ours Dam.
The exercise was designed to strengthen response capabilities through an emergency scenario involving passengers of a capsized boat in the waters of the Richelieu River. Parks Canada collaborated with several organizations including the Sorel-Tracy Fire Department, the Sûreté du Québec and the Canadian Coast Guard in this successful exercise.
