For immediate release
GATINEAU, Quebec, September 30, 2015 — Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) wishes to advise motorists that the Gatineau-bound lane of the Alexandra Bridge will be closed during the following periods:
- Thursday, October 1 at 8 p.m. until Friday, October 2, 2015, at 5 a.m.
- Saturday, October 3 and Sunday, October 4, 2015, from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- Monday, October 5 to Friday, October 9, 2015, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Ottawa-bound lane will remain open. Pedestrians and cyclists will not be affected by the lane closures.
The lane closures are necessary to conduct general maintenance on the bridge.
In case of inclement weather, the work may also take place Friday, October 2 at 8 p.m. until Saturday, October 3, 2015, at 5 a.m. as well as Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11, 2015, from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
