During the fall, La Mauricie National Park is awash in colour. Parks Canada invites visitors to enjoy many outdoor activities, including interpretive hikes to learn more about the park’s wildlife and plants.
Visitors can discover the fisher and the marten that call La Maurice home. These members of the weasel family are the stars of many photos taken by wildlife monitoring cameras. This is a unique opportunity to see the work of Parks Canada biologists and learn about these animals during a hike.
Fascinated by the beaver? Visitors can join a Parks Canada naturalist for a tour to learn more about this tireless builder.
For fans of aquatic activities, fall canoeing is a must. Paddle and admire the wondrous colours in the northern portion of Wapizagonke Lake. Canoe rentals are available Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays until October 12.
For the full program of activities, dates, times and locations, visit La Mauricie National Park’s website.
