Canada’s nuclear regulator to co-host public webinar showcasing efforts in Canada and United Arab Emirates on gender equity in STEM

OTTAWA, Ontario, January 19, 2023 – The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) is inviting media to attend an upcoming public webinar, “Empowering women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM): Experiences from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Canada”.

The collaborative webinar will be co-hosted by the CNSC, the Embassy of the UAE to Canada, and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre. It will feature Canadian and Emirati women at different stages of their STEM education and careers, highlight the importance of gender equity in STEM, and showcase actions of Canada and the UAE.
