THE summer destination in the heart of Montreal

This summer promises to be an exciting one at the Lachine Canal with surprising events and outdoor activities offered every day. An absolute must, a Learn-to Camp activity, will be held on June 18-19 at Parks Canada's Esplanade du Centenaire, at the same time as the very popular Montréal Folk Fest on the Canal. You will also be able to ride in an electric boat on the canal with Le Petit Navire, bike on one of the most beautiful urban paths in the world using Ma Bicyclette bike rental services and see Montreal from a different perspective aboard one of the H2O Adventures vessels. Be sure to complement your visit by enjoying some of the fresh produce at Atwater Market and have a picnic on the banks. New this year: meet at the Canal Lounge, a floating café, to quench your thirst in a unique setting.

Quotes

“It is somewhere where I feel comfortable. With the development of the Canal, it’s a great location with both the bicycle path and the Atwater Market in close proximity. For me, the most beautiful views of Montreal are here, on the banks of the Lachine Canal!”

Marc Bergevin
Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Montreal Canadiens
