The Louis S. St. Laurent National Historic Site will open its doors from June 24 to September 25, 2016 for a new season. Visitors are invited to discover the family home of Louis S. St. Laurent and the general store that was run by his father.

In addition to the permanent exhibits, the historic site offers various events that will please history buffs, music lovers and foodies. Visitors are invited to attend Canada Day activities, the Country Fair, the Traditional Music Concerts and the Comptonales.

New this year, music from the 50s and the 60s will resonate in the St. Laurents’ garden during the Retro Garden Party. Visitors will enjoy live rock 'n' roll music, hula hoop workshops and a corn-husking. Nostalgic fans will be able to relive this unique era and share it with the younger generation. It's a gathering not to be missed, Sunday August 21, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is organized in partnership with the Compagnons du lieu historique national Louis-S.-St-Laurent, the Exposition de voitures anciennes de Compton and the Eastern Townships Antique Machinery Club.

As we near the 150th anniversary of Confederation in 2017, the Government of Canada invites Canadians to experience Canada’s remarkable natural heritage and rich history in national parks and national historic sites this summer.
