Government of Canada recognized Sir Arthur William Currie as a national historic person

John Aldag, Member of Parliament for Cloverdale—Langley City, will take part in the Historic Sites and Monuments Board plaque unveiling ceremony to commemorate the national historic significance of Sir Arthur William Currie and highlight the 100th Anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge. The ceremony will be followed by a 100 round rapid-fire barrage by 5th Field Regiment at 8:30 p.m.
Mr. Aldag will make the announcement on behalf of the Minister of the Environment and Climate Change and Minister responsible for Parks Canada, Catherine McKenna.
