June 13, 2017 Tadoussac, Quebec Parks Canada Agency
Starting on June 17th, the Marine Environment Discovery Centre and the Cap-de-Bon-Désir and Pointe-Noire Interpretation and Observation Centres will begin welcoming visitors for the 2017 season.
To celebrate the 150th anniversary of Confederation, the Government is very pleased to offer free admission to all Parks Canada places in 2017. The FREE Parks Canada 2017 Discovery Pass provides unlimited opportunities to enjoy national parks, historic sites, and marine conservation areas across the country.
This year, Parks Canada Centres at the Saguenay–St. Lawrence Marine Park are offering a rich and varied program to enable more Canadians to experience the outdoors and learn more about our environment.
In addition to regular activity programming, special events will take place over the summer. The first Saguenay–St. Lawrence Marine Park Bioblitz will take place at the Marine Environment Discovery Centre. Bioblitz participants will discover the diversity and the abundance of marine species as part of several amazing activities. Outdoor lovers will be able to experience diving or snorkeling in a place well known for the beauty of its submarine landscapes. Whale observation from the shore is also a must-do at Parks Canada Centres.
For more details on offered experiences and hours of operation, visitors are encouraged to plan their visit ahead of time through the Parks Canada’s website to ensure the best possible experience.
Please note that only admission is free for 2017. There are fees for enhanced interpretative programs and recreational services and products.
