Festival season is upon us at Fundy National Park! For this special Canada 150 year, the Rising Tide Festival promises to be better than ever with an amazing musical line-up and even more workshops and activities available for those interested in getting in touch with their artistic side.

The festival takes place at the outdoor amphitheatre at Fundy National Park between August 18 and 20 and features nine performances by talented musicians. Throughout the weekend there will be several art workshops including felted soap, copper working, photography, nature journal book binding, and woven tapestries as well as activities for children. This is a perfect opportunity to stop by the park for the day, bring a picnic lunch, and take in the beautiful Bay of Fundy scenery while listening to live East Coast music.

Festival organizers have pulled out all the stops this year with a fantastic musical line-up that showcases the best of Atlantic Canadian talent with a diverse mix of musical styles. Performance highlights include Juno Award winner Amelia Curran, blues-rock duo The Kendra Gale Band, Acadian artist Caroline Savoie, and singer-songwriter J.P. Cormier. There will also be performances by Kim Dunn, Ian Janes, Joey Robin Haché, Keith Hallett, and the Joel LeBlanc Trio.

As we celebrate the 150th Anniversary of Confederation with free admission to Parks Canada places, the Rising Tide Festival at Fundy National Park is a great opportunity for families to experience the outdoors and connect with nature through art.

As in previous years, the festival extends to the nearby village of Alma, where there will be live musical performances and special food menus available at local businesses. Check out Fundy National Park’s Rising Tide Festival website for more details and for art workshop schedules.
